INTENNSE & Team Luke Hope for Minds Auction
INTENNSE is honored to partner with Team Luke Hope for Minds. In support of Team Luke, we are auctioning an RF 01 Future Racquet, signed by tennis legend Roger Federer.
Every year, 1 in 500 school-age children suffer a head injury severe enough to be hospitalized. Yet, funding for medical care is limited, and many families are forced to pay enormous medical bills on their own. Team Luke Hope for Minds is on a mission to enrich the lives of children with brain injuries and give hope to their families through support, resources, and education. By providing financial assistance, guiding families through their journey, and creating a network of support, Team Luke Hope for Minds is making a difference for countless families facing the unexpected and overwhelming challenges of brain injuries.

The Team Luke Hope for Minds Story
In 2015, a 9-year-old boy named Luke Siegel was in a golf cart playing at a friend’s house when the cart tipped over. Luke was pinned to the ground and suffered a cardiac arrest as a result of head and chest trauma. Life changed forever for the Siegel family on that July afternoon. Luke spent the next six months undergoing extensive treatment, brain surgeries, and therapy. “My little Luke was the greatest fighter I’ve ever seen,” says Tim Siegel, Luke's father. The local Lubbock community rallied around the Siegel family after the accident, coining phrases like “Fight Like Luke” and “Pray for Luke,” which became symbols of hope and strength.
In 2008, 11-year-old JD suffered an anoxic brain injury from a non-fatal drowning incident. The family’s "normal life" was upended in an instant as JD began extensive treatment for his injuries. They struggled with a lack of information and guidance, along with mounting expenses not covered by insurance. Yet again, their community stepped up to provide emotional and financial support, showing the power of coming together during times of crisis.
In August 2021, our hero Luke gained his wings after complications related to COVID-19. Despite his challenges, Luke inspired thousands around the world without ever saying a word, showing the world what resilience and courage truly mean. His legacy lives on through the incredible work of Team Luke Hope for Minds, helping children and families who find themselves in similar situations to the Siegel family’s own journey.
